How do you video a game off the tele , making it look really good?

on youtube there are lots of vids showing you how to complete missions on call of duty 6. i would like to make a vid and put it on youtube but how? ive tried with a video camera but the picture is alright, but how do they get it really good on youtube. they say if ther using an xbox or ps3 but how do you video it and make it look great?

I think there is something called Dazzle Recorder which just plugs into your tv and pc. Its worth looking up.
